Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Florine's Heart on the web and Android. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Florine's Heart provides

Florine's Heart provides ambient sound mixing, music, narrated Tales, readable Books, gentle activities, and local or optionally synced progress. It is an entertainment product, not a medical, therapeutic, sleep-treatment, or health service.

2. Licence

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and its content for private, non-commercial purposes. Offline downloads are part of this licence and do not transfer ownership of the underlying audio, artwork, writing, characters, branding, or software.

You may not redistribute, resell, publicly perform, scrape, extract, republish, modify, or use the app or its assets to create a competing product, dataset, model, or derivative collection, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that these Terms cannot restrict.

3. Accounts and saves

An account is optional. If you sign in, you are responsible for maintaining access to your Google account and for activity performed through it. Sync is designed to preserve progress, but you should keep an exported save if particular progress is important to you. You may delete your account and associated data from Settings or the account deletion page.

4. Optional purchases

The Tavern is free. Where offered, additional worlds are one-time purchases without recurring charges. Google Play shows the price and processes Android payments. Sign in before buying so the purchase can be linked to your Florine's Heart account. Use Restore purchases with the same app account and Google Play account after reinstalling or changing devices. Initial verification and restoration require an internet connection. Purchased content becomes available when payment completes.

Purchases provide access to the content described at checkout; they do not include every future world. Google Play's payment and refund terms apply, alongside your statutory rights. Refunded or reversed purchases may lose access. Deleting your Florine's Heart account removes its purchase links; contact support with your Google Play receipt if you need help afterward.

5. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the app, other users, accounts, servers, or security controls.
Do not submit malicious code, false purchase records, forged requests, or automated abuse.
Do not use the app or its content in violation of law or another person's rights.
Do not attempt to obtain access to data or systems that you are not authorised to use.

6. Intellectual property

Florine's Heart, its software, visual design, characters, stories, Books, Tales, music, sound, artwork, and branding are owned by the operator or used under licence. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. Third-party names and services remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Availability, offline use, and updates

We may correct defects, replace content, change technical requirements, or release optional app updates. Downloaded content may need to be refreshed after a content update and may be removed by your browser or operating system when device storage is critically low. Online functions such as sign-in, sync, account deletion, and browser push require a network connection.

8. Suspension and ending the service

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders, or the service, or where these Terms are materially violated. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. If the service ends, we will provide reasonable notice where practical.

9. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or that a particular soundscape, activity, or piece of content will remain unchanged. Statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising from fraud or intentional misconduct where applicable.

11. Governing rules and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator and your use of the service, without removing mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern directly. You may also use any court, regulator, or dispute process available under applicable law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms when the app, law, or business model changes. The effective date will be revised, and material changes will be shown in the app or store listing where appropriate. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
